crossed heart

a perfect day, and off to a writing retreat

I think we’ve made our last Ikea trip of the year. At least I hope we have!

Things are settling down. It’s been hard to unpack without any furniture to put things on/in, but we’re fixing that a room at a time.

And yesterday I drove into SF super easy because it’s *right over there* and hung out at a coffee shop writing with friends and then drove home. Like I cannot believe how close we are to SF now, it was so cool, after being so far away for so long. I can’t wait to see more of it and walk around and visit parks and eat and write everywhere that has free wifi!

And I’ve finally started writing again. It took awhile — it was hard not to feel bad about it because there’s been so much house stuff to do, plus work’s been epically worktastic — but I know what I need to do now, and I’m heading to a writing retreat tomorrow with some friends which I am *so* looking forward to :D.

Now if I can wedge some yoga into my schedule to unscrunch my back, I’ll be in business! But really, I’m typing this watching a sunset over the bay in the distance from my office window and everything is really perfect as can be :D.
