I’m feeling uncomfortably spoiled by the love Moonshifted is getting. If you’d told me at the time when I was writing it crying, sure that it was going to be an awful mess, that so many people would really like it, I would have called you a liar and then kept on desperately typing to try to make my deadline through the tears. (Writing as an occupation is not glamorous.) This is a book mind you that my poor and beloved editor called me up about to say, “You know you have a lot of work to do, right?” in a “Your mission, should you choose to accept it way.” (Possibly in a “you haven’t spent your advance, right?” way. Okay, not really, but I was honestly scared about that at the time!) I did have a ton of work to do, but apparently (with Daniel’s help, and Rose, and Blue Heaven!) I did something right, because here’s some more fantastic reviews :D.
I’ve still got a few more nights at work here (to off set my lovely time off last week when I was finishing Deadshifted). I’m still behind on stuff (work’s been worky :P) and I still need to polish Deadshifted up to turn it in. I still need to run another contest or two — but I’ll get ahead of my inbox yet!…sometime late next week ;).
