The Clarion West Write-a-thon is starting up soon!

I know some of y'all have participated in the past -- now's your chance to sign up before the rush of the next two weeks :D.

Clarion West Write-a-thon 2011 Registration

I'm sure a ton of you know what this is all about, but for those that don't -- the Write-a-thon runs concurrently with Clarion West. It's the homegame, if you will, where people who want to support Clarion West challenge themselves to meet assorted writing goals and challenge others to donate to them if they meet them. It's a great opportunity to see just how far you can get in your writing in six weeks and to support a fantastic (and non-profit!) cause, the Clarion West writers workshop.

A ton of people do a story a week (just like Clarion West) or do pages a day, hours of time writing, hundreds of words -- whatever goal feels good for them. Vylar Kaftan's Nebula nominated story "I'm Alive, I Love You, I'll See You in Reno" was written during a previous Write-a-thon. So, see? It works :D.

Since Clarion West runs from June 19 - July 28th this year, and my second book's due June 15...well, that gives me a luxurious four days off before starting in on the outline for book 3. I feel pretty good about getting an outline done in six weeks :D.

More later on my own stuff -- I just wanted to shout this out there quickly. I hope you all come write along :D.
